Bourbon Barbecue Chicken
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 medium white onion diced
- 1-2 cloves diced garlic
- 1 18 oz. bottle Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 2 teaspoons hot sauce add more to taste
- Chicken of your choice - wings parts, thighs or a split whole chicken.
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
In a medium size saucepan saute the onion and garlic until it's softened about 3-5 minutes.
Pour in the entire bottle of Kraft Original Barbeque Sauce, bourbon and hot sauce.
Bring to a boil then turn down to simmer for 15 minutes.
Spray your grill surface with a non-stick cooking spray.
Heat your grill to medium low for charcoal or medium for gas grills.
Rub or drizzle your chicken on both sides with olive oil.
Sprinkle with Salt and Pepper on both sides.
Place the chicken on the grill and cook to an internal temp of 160 degrees..
Brush with sauce and leave on grill till the internal temp reaches 165 degrees.
